Sweetie™ is a new apple variety from the Prevar™ program in New Zealand. it is the result of a cross between Braeburn and Royal Gala. The fruit matures just before Royal Gala. The fruit is by colored and has an elongated shape with a very sweet rich taste. Sweetie™’s fruit size is larger than Royal Gala. It is precocious and productive and a fairly strong grower. Plantings are being initialized the world over.
